Gibbs & Bruns partner Kathy Patrick was named to Texas Lawyer’s special feature, Winning Women. Kathy is one of just 20 women trial and appellate lawyers in Texas to be honored in this special inaugural edition.
Winning Women profiles outstanding women litigators and appellate lawyers who “have achieved significant recent victories, as well as displayed a track record of wins in which they prevailed in high-stakes cases; won large monetary awards; successfully defended against actions seeking substantial damages; and handle first-of-their-kind or bet-the-company litigation or appeals; or claimed victory in cases that had a national or statewide impact.”
Kathy’s profile highlights, among other matters, her work as lead counsel securing $8.5 billion settlement with Bank of America on behalf of 22 institutional investors in connection with 530 securitization pools that issued over $424 billion of Countrywide-issued mortgage-backed securities.
Kathy and the other Winning Women will be honored at a special luncheon in Dallas on September 30, 2011 with special guest speaker Supreme Court of Texas Justice Eva Guzman.
