KATHY PATRICK HONORED BY AWA WITH PREMIER WOMEN IN LAW AWARD 2015

Gibbs & Bruns partner Kathy Patrick will be the recipient of The Association of Women Attorneys’ annual Premier Women in Law award in March 2015.  The AWA issued a press release sharing the news:

Kathy Patrick, a partner and top securities litigator at the law firm of Gibbs & Bruns: Kathy Patrick is the recipient of many national and international accolades from Super Lawyers and Best Lawyers in America to Euromoney’s “Outstanding Practitioner” award for 2013, but she was best described by Forbes Magazine as “The Woman Wall Street Fears Most” after she secured a record-breaking $8.5 billion settlement from Bank of America.

Each year, The AWA honors women in various categories of success.  This year, the AWA event is dedicated to “Women at the Pinnacle.”  The award recipients, including Kathy, The Honorable Judge Lee Rosenthal, Holly O’Neill, and Claudia Frost, were “nominated and selected as women in the practice of law in Houston who exemplify this theme.”

The Premier Women in Law Gala is also a fundraiser for the AWA Foundation.  Six deserving law students, including one second-year and one third-year student from each of the three law schools in Houston: South Texas College of Law, Thurgood Marshall College of Law, and the University of Houston Law Center, will be honored at the event.  Each student will receive a scholarship at the gala.

The gala luncheon this year will be held on March 25, 2015 at the Hyatt Regency in Downtown Houston at 11:30 am.  For more information, contact Danielle Schwausch at 713.802.1777 or [email protected].
