Following Gibbs & Bruns lawyer Brian T. Ross’s diagnosis with lymphoma, three of his fellow lawyers set out to raise enough funds to establish a cancer research fund in his name. Jeffry J. Cotner and Scott A. Humphries conquered Ironman Brazil – a 2.4 mile swim, 112-mile bike ride, and a 26.2 mile run – in order to raise over $47,000 for cancer research at M.D. Anderson.
Robin Gibbs, founding partner of Gibbs & Bruns, stated that the effort “demonstrates the esprit de corps of our young lawyers.”
