NATIONAL LAW JOURNAL NAMES GIBBS & BRUNS TO PLAINTIFFS’ HOT LIST

The
National Law Journal named Gibbs & Bruns to its “Plaintiffs’ Hot List” for 2004.

Gibbs & Bruns was lauded for the more than $500 million in jury verdicts for plaintiffs won in recent years.  NLJ noted that the firm’s $309 million verdict for the plaintiff in a 1993 breach of contract trial, Avia Development Group v. American General Realty Investment Corp., is one of the cases that “put Gibbs & Bruns on the map.”

Firms included on NLJ‘s featured short-list of 20 law firms “have done exemplary work during the past year.”  “[A]ll the firms chosen have track records that go back years, sometimes decades,” stated the NLJ.  “But our selections were not based on vaunted reputations, impressive client lists or cases filed.  We look for results.”
