Texas Monthly published its 2007 "Texas Super Lawyers – Rising Stars Edition" in April. Gibbs & Bruns associate Laura Carlock was included on the list in the area of Appellate law.
Rising Stars are selected by a survey of all Texas Super Lawyers. Super Lawyers are asked to nominate the best up-and-coming lawyers whom "they've personally observed in action." Candidates must be 40 years old or younger or in the practice for less than ten years. Each nominee is given a score based on the number and type of votes received. Independent research is conducted on each nominee before the final list of Rising Stars is selected.
